J.R. Martinez Is Going to Be a Dad

He nabbed a mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars last month, but the biggest and best prize is yet to come. J.R. Martineztells PEOPLE exclusively that he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first child next spring.

"We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon," Martinez, 28, says. "Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get."

The Iraq war vet and Gonzalez-Jones met when he landed a role on All My Childrenin 2008. At the time, she was working as an assistant to the soap's executive producer. The two became close friends, but it wasn't until last year that the pair decided to take their friendship to the next level.

"We were so good as friends that romantically, we just clicked right away. There was no adjustment period," Gonzalez-Jones told PEOPLE earlier this year.

Impending fatherhood "is sinking in" Martinez says, admitting that he can't believe all of the good things that have happened in the past year.

"2011 has been full of a lot of surprises and opportunities and ultimately, a lot of blessings," says Martinez. "Diana and I were just asking ourselves, 'How is 2012 going to top 2011?' Well, we have our answer!"

Charlie Sheen Loses Custody of Twins

Charlie Sheen has been attracting a lot of attention lately – including from the cops.

LAPD officials confirmed a Thursday night visit to his home in a Beverly Hills gated community. "LAPD detectives responded to Charlie Sheen's home this evening to investigate a possible violation of a temporary restraining order," LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman tells PEOPLE.

"It came to the attention of the LAPD that Sheen is the registered owner of firearms," the LAPD said in a statement late Thursday night, and conducted their investigation at Sheen's home "to determine if he is in possession of firearms and ammunition in violation of the [restraining order]."

Police visited Sheen last week to remove his twin boys from his custody after his estranged wife Brooke Mueller obtained a restraining order.

Earlier Thursday, the former couple reached a private custody agreement, but per standard temporary restraining orders, "the restrained person cannot possess, have, buy or try to buy, receive or try to receive, or in any other way get guns, other firearms or ammunition."

With police still at the home, goddess Natalie Kenly downplayed the events to PEOPLE, saying, "Everything is fine. Nothing to worry about."

Arnold Schwarzenegger Divorced?

Arnold Schwarzenegger's humiliated wife Maria Shriver could be set to terminate her marriage with her love-rat husband after hiring a top celebrity divorce lawyer, according to U.S. reports.

Shriver, 55, has reportedly hired California-based family lawyer Laura Wasser whose previous clients include Angelina Jolie, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder, Kiefer Sutherland, and Britney Spears to represent her following her split from husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, 63, amid his love-child scandal.

"Maria hasn't decided yet if she wants to end her marriage," a source close to Shriver told U.S. publication People.

Wasser was hired before the news of the affair went public, the source added. Shriver is separated from the former governor who has admitted to fathering a child with another woman, reportedly a longtime housekeeper.

The alleged mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger's lovechild was yesterday named by a U.S. website as Mildred 'Patty' Baena.

Baena, 50, reportedly fell pregnant while she was working for the former California Governor and his wife Maria Schriver.

Baene is understood to have worked as a housekeeper for Schwarzenegger up until January.

The former California governor admitted in a statement earlier this week that his split from Maria Shriver was partly due to him fathering a child with a member of his household staff.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the employee worked for the family for 20 years and gave birth to the actor's child over a decade ago.

The article also notes that Maria moved out of the family's Brentwood home earlier this year, after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the paternity.

It is believed to be with his former housekeeper Mildred Baena

Arnold said in a statement to the publication: 'After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.

'I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologised to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.

'I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.'

A spokesman for Shriver, 55, who was married to Arnold for 25 years, said: 'This is a painful and heartbreaking time.

'As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.'

Two of their four children posted on Twitter, expressing their love for their family.

'Some days you feel like s***, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit,' tweeted 17-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger.
'Yet I love my family till death do us apart.'

His 21-year-old sister, Katherine Schwarzenegger, followed later in the day.

'This is definitely not easy but I appreciate your love and support as i begin to heal and move forward in life,' she said. 'I will always love my family!'

Kelly Preston pregnant

Even with her late-fall due date swiftly approaching, Kelly Preston is not slowing down — with the glowing mom-to-be visiting Canada for one final public appearance before giving birth to a baby boy.

"It's been very easy and so wonderful," Preston, 47, told PEOPLE at Thursday's Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her movie Casino Jack.

"I've had no morning sickness and [the pregnancy] has gone by so quickly. I feel terrific."

Dressed for the red carpet in a stunning black one-sleeve, off-the-shoulder Marchesa sheer gown with dazzling jewels, Preston – without husband John Travolta – proudly showed off her baby bump and says she's already started to count the days until her expected due date.

"John and I are completely ready. My daughter [Ella Bleu, 10] is very excited too," she says. "I can't wait for the day to come."

Mariah gives birth to Twins

 Mariah Carey gave birth to twins – a boy and a girl – on Saturday.

The 41-year-old singing superstar gave birth at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, Mariah’s rep, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press.

Nick and Mariah’s baby girl was reportedly born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; while her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.

The twins coincidentally arrived on the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary.

Berger said the couple --who has not yet named their children — was calm while en route to the hospital in their Rolls-Royce Phantom, as they believed Mariah’s labor pains were a false alarm.

When the contractions proved to be the real deal, Nick, 30, was reportedly so nervous he had to be guided to the maternity ward by a nurse after he went to the wrong department, according to the AP.

“It was like right out of an ‘I Love Lucy’ skit,” Berger said, before adding that the proud new parents listened to Mariah’s “We Belong Together” after their twins were born.

The double bundle of joy comes on the heels of some false alarms, thanks to anxious daddy-to-be Nick Cannon.

On March 29, Nick posted a message on his Twitter page that he was rushing home for what he thought might have been baby time.

“On a plane back to NY. Praying Dem Babies wait for DADDY to come back b4 they pop out! The Cornball Movement don’t stop!,” Nick Tweeted at the time, causing speculation that wife Mariah was getting ready to give birth.

A rep for Mariah quickly put the rumors to rest, noting that the singer had yet to go into labor at the time.

However, mom wasn’t immune to some early jitters either.

On March 27, the same day Mariah turned 41, the pop diva was admitted to the hospital after experiencing some early contractions.

“So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary!” Mariah Tweeted at the time. “I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital.

While the birth of their babies is clearly a joyous occasion, the actual delivery wasn’t something Nick was necessarily looking forward to seeing.

“I am probably going to faint in the delivery room!…I need to man up!” he Tweeted on March 24. “Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife!”

Mariah and Nick first announced their pregnancy to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush back in October, confirming what had been a whirlwind of media speculation.

“Yes, we are pregnant, this is true!” Mariah told Billy at the time. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy… At this point, there is no choice. I either talk or I hibernate.”

Rascal Flatts Jay DeMarcus Thrilled to Have a Daddy’s Little Girl

She may have been a model employee throughout her pregnancy, but Allison DeMarcus put her maternity leave to good use at the last minute!

“I worked [for CMT] up until the day before I went to the hospital. I did an Alan Jackson interview … and the next day I was texting my producer that I didn’t think I’d be able to do voice-overs, I’m having a baby!” the wife of Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus tells PEOPLE.

“The last month or so was difficult. They were having trouble detecting her movement and then her heart rate started dropping a little bit, so that’s why I went early,” DeMarcus says of daughter Madeline Leigh, born via emergency cesarean at 37 weeks.

Convinced that they were having a baby boy, Jay was nothing short of thrilled when an ultrasound confirmed baby-on-the-way was in fact a girl — prompting Allison to congratulate him on his victory.

“I looked at Jay and said, ‘Well, you win.’ And he was like, ‘What do you mean?’ I said, ‘Because girls always love their daddy to death. She’ll get mad at her mother, but Daddy can do no wrong,’” she laughs.

The proud papa quips, “Add to that I’m working on the road and gone a lot, so she’ll always be glad to see me! It’s like a special occasion.”

Welcoming their baby girl on Dec. 17, the couple says their daughter is the spitting image of her dad. “[Her hair] was coal black and she looked just like Jay!” says Allison. “She still does. My sister calls her Jayline!”

However, it was bringing Madeline home from the hospital that initially caught the new parents off-guard. “Pulling away from the hospital, I just wanted to say to the nurses, ‘Are you sure about this? I don’t think either one of us is trained to do this,’” Jay recalls.

“Jay was driving and I was in the back seat with her. That’s a scary drive, that first drive home. You’re thinking, ‘Just get us home safe!’” adds Allison.

Now three months into parenthood, Jay and Allison have divvied up the night shifts, although the first-time father reveals he often leaves the early morning feedings to his wife. “I don’t do that as much as Ali does, she is a saint about it,” he says. “We take turns getting up. I do late night. With my schedule, I’m up so late that I’m used to being up at 2 a.m.”

But Allison was nowhere to be found when Madeline was a month old and Jay was flying solo on daddy duty! “It was a Sunday afternoon and she was crying. And I’m mentally going through the checklist of everything you’re supposed to do when a baby cries, and nothing worked,” he shares.

“That was a moment when I stared at her and thought, ‘Now what? I am not qualified! I don’t know what to do. This is not a passing phase. I am responsible for this life for the rest of my life!’ It can be pretty daunting.”
